About Dr. Fatoki
Profile: Dr Adeyemi Fatoki

Dr Fatoki graduated from Western Illinois University in 1985 with a BS in Biology. He received his MD from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine, Peoria in 1990 and then completed his Residency in Family Medicine at Cook County Hospital in 1993.
He received a Masters Degree in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Illinois in 1995.
Dr Fatoki initially became Board certified in Family Medicine in 1993 and has maintained his certification since then. He became a Fellow of the Academy of Family Physicians in 2006.
Following his Residency Training, Dr Fatoki joined the Family medicine Department at Provident Hospital as an Attending Physician. Prior to his resignation from Provident Hospital in 2000, he was an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and the Associate Director of the Loyola-Provident Family Medicine Residency program.
Dr Fatoki has worked in various settings including the ER, hospitals, private practice, community health centers and penal institutions.
Dr Fatoki resigned from his job as the Medical Director for Health Professionals Limited, Peoria, Illinois overseeing numerous state prison and county jail facilities on 5/1/07 to concentrate on his private practice.
Dr Fatoki has seen devoted his practice to the treatment of Obesity (Bariatrics) and Addictive disorders. In addition, he still maintains a primary care practice.
Dr Fatoki successfully completed his Bariatric certification examinations in September 2007 and is in the process of completing his Board certification requirements. He is scheduled to take his certification examination in Addiction Medicine in December 2008.
Dr Fatoki is a strong believer in preventive health and takes a holistic approach to his practice of medicine. He individualizes his treatment and devotes adequate time to address patient issues.
Dr Fatoki is on staff at Advocate Trinity Hospital and St Bernard Hospital where he has previously served as the chairman of the Family medicine Department.
In addition to his private practice, Dr Fatoki serves as a consultant to the Illinois Department of Public aid and participates on Peer Review committees with various entities.
